Iryna Sekh responded to the question regarding depriving the Ukrainian State Environmental Inspection of necessity to pay court fee in case a suit is filed to court, following the results of inspection of economic entities’ activity by the State Environmental Inspection. She informed that the Committee has considered the draft law on amendments to article 5 of the Law “On Court Fee” (re depriving the Ukrainian State Environmental Inspection of necessity to pay court fee) during the meeting on May 15, 2013. The Committee took the decision to recommend the Committee on Taxation and Customs Policy refer the bill for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada in order to adopt it as a basis.
I.Sekh focused attention on violation of environmental legislation by the LLC Center of innovative building technologies and on the issue of planning construction of Bilan Mining and Processing Plant in Poltava oblast.
I.Sekh emphasized that the Committee has referred the respective appeals to the General Prosecutor’s Office of Ukraine and other ministries and institutions. However, the people’s deputy believes, interference of the State Environmental Inspection and its specialized units is necessary in such cases.
Chairman of the subcommittee on matters of state monitoring of environment, formation and use of environmental funds, budgetary process, environmental investments, and insurance of environmental risks Volodymyr Chub also participated in the meeting.
